Daniel Murphy is working out at second base in hopes of finding a spot with the Mets for the 2011 season.

Murphy is playing in the Dominican Republic as he works on the position. He was supplanted at first base by rookie Ike Davis this past season.

"It's going well. I'm enjoying my time down here. Just trying to get more comfortable, get back into the groove of playing," Murphy said.
